As a leaseholder you would have received this email from Brad and Pilar on June 16, 2020. I am pasting it here as an added reminder of the garbage protocol for cottagers:
“Household garbage must be disposed of in the garbage bins located outside of the park maintenance compound. Please separate and place recyclables in the appropriate recycling bins for glass, plastic, aluminum, and cardboard/paper products. Please do not place any items outside of the bins; this makes it difficult for maintenance staff and our current service provider to collect waste and recycling. Garbage bins that cannot be emptied because they are overflowing or because access is blocked by large items result in a service fee and further delays in garbage collection.
We are able to accommodate disposal of one or two small furniture or appliance items per cottage lot, and we ask that you bring these items into our maintenance compound between the hours of 1PM and 4PM, Monday to Friday, and dispose of them in the larger 15-yard roll-off dumpster. (see photo)
If you cannot unload or lift these items into the dumpster, please ask one of the maintenance staff to assist you. However, we are not able to accommodate the disposal of larger furniture and appliance items (including mattresses, couches, fridges, stoves, washing machines, dryers, etc.) or hazardous waste items (such as paint cans or propane tanks). If you are conducting renovations at your cottage lot (new roof, new carpeting or flooring), a reminder that these materials are not to be deposited in any of the garbage or recycling bins and must be disposed of outside the park.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact myself at (519) 674-1750 or the Cottage Liaison, Pilar Manorome, at (519) 350-3887.”
